Continuous fiber composites are fiber reinforced polymer composites in which the fiber length is of a magnitude larger than the width or the thickness of the composite part. The basic materials used in automotive, aerospace & defense, wind energy, construction during the industrial revolution of 18th and 19th century included wood, cast iron, stone, copper or brick.
