In a significant move toward accelerating the clean energy transition, Masdar, TotalEnergies, and EPointZero have signed a Framework for Action (FFA) agreement to advance renewable energy deployment in Africa and Asia. The partnership, formalized at the UAE-France High-Level Business Council in Paris, aims to expand sustainable electricity access in key emerging markets.
Scaling Clean Energy in Africa and Asia
This strategic alliance is designed to drive renewable energy adoption in Africa, supporting long-term energy transformation through solar, wind, and energy storage solutions. Additionally, the agreement focuses on clean energy expansion in Southeast Asia, particularly in India, where TotalEnergies and EPointZero will explore collaborative efforts in decarbonization and energy innovation.
The initiative strengthens the UAE-France partnership on climate action, renewable energy, AI, and advanced technologies, following discussions between UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and French President Emmanuel Macron.
